Father's Day 2013

We had a low key Father's day and really just spent the weekend playing with the boys and enjoying family time together.  I surprised Scott with a bike trailer for Father's Day and the boys got helmets (which they just love hate)!  I see lots of bike rides once the fall comes around and it cools off a little!
See them trying to take off their helmets the whole time?  They'll get used to it...

We took the boys to the park to play Saturday morning before it got too warm.  They love going down all of the big slides (giggling the whole way of course) and chasing after the ducks!  Calvin loves wearing hats but this kid pulls the bill down to where he can barely see.  This picture shows exactly how he wants to wear his hat!

We enjoy the park because afterwards they take a FANTASTIC nap in the afternoon!

The boys are always melting for dinner starting around 5.  We have moved their plates and cups to a cabinet down low so they can set their own place at the table.  They really enjoy helping and will take their place mats to the table, plates, cups, and forks.  When dinner is over they take each item to the sink too!  Apparently they can also wait patiently for dinner by playing with their plates and forks and feeding each other pretend food!

Sometimes they like 'helping' me cook dinner to stay busy while they wait!  They helped me make the Father's Day dinner by holding the salt shaker in between uses and stirring.  They stay really happy as long as they can see what I'm doing in the kitchen.

This year they could say Happy Dada, we never got the 'day' on the end of the phrase!  Sweet Calvin always points to his cheeks when he says happy (just like you do in the song 'If you're happy and you know it then your face will surely show it').  I think they are pretty lucky to have Scott as their daddy!
