Our boys only practice the best dental hygiene. This shouldn't be a surprise since their Aunt Amy is a dental hygienist and neither of us got a cavity until adults. They'll brush their teeth for hours a day if we let them! They must love the way the bristles feel on their sore little gums!
Now if we can only get them to give up the tooth brushes without throwing a fit... any suggestions?

| Boys, you have a muffin top! We're going to have to get you better fitting diapers. |
They are looking so much alike these days to me! So cute! I can't believe they are almost a year old!
ReplyDeleteGive them their turn, then set them on the counter (feet in the sink) so they can watch you try in the mirror (you, of course have the "real" toothbrush since their's is for chewing on and they probably have a death grip on it). Get a really excited voice saying, "It's Mommy's turn to go looking for yucky sugar bugs" or "Mommy's turn to tickle your teeth" and then sing while you brush OR say "tickle tickle tickle" as you brush each area. If this doesn't work, I'll come up with another idea ;)
ReplyDeleteoh....and I like how Caleb is brushing his tongue....most adults don't even scrape or brush their tongues. What a smart little boy to know that sugar bugs can hide there too! :)
