Memorial Weekend

We had our first trip to the lake with the boys for Memorial weekend.  Scott and I both agree the lake isn't quite the same with kids to take care of!  We aren't living up the care-free life we are used to at the lake but we sure do get more smiles and giggles now.  It was still relaxing and the boys were absolutely wonderful.  I think they enjoyed it just as much as we did!  We certainly had lots of help from the parents and siblings.  They were overly helpful playing with the boys, feeding them, letting us take over the house and schedules, and just helping us with anything.  We have the best families!

Since we were the first to arrive at the lake the boys got to play and get comfortable with their new surroundings (and toys)!  Scott's parents gathered up baby gear for us and we were well supplied for the week.  We didn't have to bring pack-n-plays, toys, high chairs, floaties, or bath gear!  Talk about saving space in the car!

And they played some more the next morning before we hit the water.

Our boys decided to take a 2 hour morning nap so they were extremely well rested for play time on the boat!  Good job boys!  It helped them last over 4 hours the first day on the water before we went back for another bottle.  Really they could have stayed a little longer had we brought enough food for them!

Calvin still napped a little on Uncle Jerry.  He just needs his sleep during the day!

But Caleb was happy as can be with Daddy!

Caleb and Calvin with MaMa.  We left the tags on their life jackets because they loved playing with them.  Anything to keep them calm and happy in those things!

They really seemed to enjoy the water, once it didn't feel so cold (initial shock involved lots of crying) and once they realized they didn't have a choice!  Yes Caleb is in a pink floatie- our boys don't require all blue!

They stayed in so long we got prunny feet!

Calvin decided he needed to nap on the water on Sunday!  He slept like this for almost an hour!

Caleb didn't last without a nap on the second day- he took a nap on the boat ride back in!

Anniston and Treyson were so good playing with the boys.  Calvin and Caleb had a blast with their big cousins!

And these 'boys' had a blast playing with a bebe gun all evening!  They were getting pretty serious with their challenges and targets!  It is so funny watching grown men play with toys like little kids!

What a fantastic Memorial weekend- we can't wait to go back to Lake Ouachita in just a few weeks!  Thank you MaMa and PaPa for letting us come to your lake house once again and taking such good care of us!
