Of course Calvin was glued to his Pop all weekend...
And Caleb was always beside his 'Namaw'
Easter was alot of fun with the boys and we were very thankful my parents came up because the next morning we left to go house shopping in Houston! My parents stayed with the boys for the week while we shopped for a house, found a daycare, and took care of inspections. They taught the boys all kinds of tricks but one that has stuck is swaddling their stuffed animals and holding them like a baby!
The best news is that we found a house on the first day! It was listed at the end of the day, we were at the house within 1 hour of listing, and we put an offer on it that evening. The owner accepted immediately (which surprised us because most owners are collecting offers for several days and creating bidding wars). She is the original owner and raised her family in this house and was thrilled a young family was moving in! We are so excited to be living just 1.5 miles from work! We decided family time (i.e. not commuting) was more important than a newer/nicer house and God blessed that decision. During the last move we found out we were pregnant and then having twins. This move God blessed us with a beautiful home that will allow us to spend our evening together as a family and not driving in a car. It is much bigger than we need and we are excited to see how God has us use all of this extra space!
The week after house shopping my Great Aunt Clara passed away. We loaded the boys up and went to England, Arkansas for a long weekend. They provided much needed entertainment and smiles for such a tough time. Our Aunt Clara was a saint and a very gracious woman and she is dearly missed. They got to meet their second-cousin Ada at the funeral! It is always nice seeing family again even though we were gathered for such a sad event. Please keep this family in your prayers as her husband of almost 60 years, daughter and son-in-law, and grandson and wife adjust to a life without her. What a blessing knowing she is a Follower of Jesus and is spending eternity in Heaven!
Now we are just counting down the days until we move to Houston! Only two more weeks and our home here will be all packed up...
