Visit from Grandma and Pop

My parents decided it had been long enough and they came to see the boys!  Calvin changed my dad's name from Grandad to Pop while we were in Costa Rica and that is what both boys now call him!  The boys have been more fussy than normal over the past few weeks.  When Scott and I have them at home they are just short tempered and demanding.  We've had lots of tears shed and mean looks from the boys.  But, of course, as soon as my parents came they were complete angels and behaved perfectly!  We're not complaining too much because their visit seemed to hit a reset button on the boys and they are following directions and listening so much better!  Here are a few pics of these sweet boys with their Grandma and Pop!

Caleb naturally gets more attached to women and so of course my mom!

Calvin on the other hand gets 100% attached to men, and he and my dad have a very unique connection!  He LOVES his Pop and follows him everywhere.  If my dad left the room so did Calvin.  My dad went to take a shower and Calvin couldn't find him.  We told him Pop was in the shower and Calvin said 'Take Shower'!  Then my mom took him back to see my dad in the shower and he told him 'Play'!  Calvin always surprises us with the words he can say and knows how to use!  But don't bet on hearing those phrases again for about a month because he wont say things on demand!

Twins have a fun time playing 'together' and sharing toys!  It makes it more difficult to stack things or work on puzzles when there is an extra set of tiny hands helping...

Even though it was windy they boys love playing outside.  They slide and throw balls and run everywhere!  They even played along the railing of our porch giving Pop kisses through the bars!

We were so glad to spend some time with my parents and let them love on the boys.  A major event we didn't get a picture of?  Teaching my parents to play Settlers of Catan and me winning 3/4 of the games!  I think they're hooked on this game now...
