Precious, joyful, adorable, cutie pies, extremely happy, little angels, blessings, perfect, good, giggly, sweet...these are just some of the ways we and others describe our 7 month old boys! They are so much fun right now and we are just soaking them up!
Caleb
You finally started babbling- we were kind of concerned because you weren't really making any noises other than giggles and squeals. These past two weeks you started baby talking and haven't slowed down!
You are scooting backwards and spinning on your belly.
I don't think your legs can get any chunkier. You mainly wear 12 month clothes because the 9 months wont button around your thighs! Daddy said you got this from me, and then he got the 'look' from me...
You are a fantastic sleeper and just make soft little moans while going down for your nap. Rarely any crying comes from you. You'll even go to sleep with Calvin screaming at the top of his lungs in the crib beside you.
You can sit up on our own 90%. Sometimes you still fall over while playing but you are catching yourself more and more to balance.
You eat about 35 ounces of milk a day plus an oatmeal/fruit brunch, veggie lunch, and dinner with a veggie and fruit. Each fruit or veggie serving are about 3 ounces plus any oatmeal we add. THAT's where your legs are coming from!
You love prunes with apples, avocado, sweet potatoes.
You giggle while playing peek-a-boo.
It only takes about 1 minute in the car for you to fall asleep.
Calvin
You love scooting around and are trying to move forwards. You can get up on your hands and knees and rock!
You play peek-a-boo when you are on your tummy. You'll put your face against the ground and then pop up smiling at us!

You still like your paci though we are just about to take it away for good!
You stay awake most of the car ride home after school and just talk to me. Then you fall asleep when we are entering our neighborhood!
You are getting a tooth- I can see it poking under your gums...
You laugh histerically when we kiss your neck!
You try to grab the bowl everytime I feed you.
You prefer to be on your tummy so you only sit up on your own about 70% of the time.
You don't like laying down for a nap. You will cry for up to 45 mins before falling asleep for 20 minutes. We're really trying to help you figure this one out...
You are b.u.s.y. and already always on the move! Just let these pictures prove it!
In the past month we reached a big milestone. We stopped swaddling them! They were still smiling every evening when we swaddled them but they were waking up in the middle of the night and only going back to sleep with a bottle. We decided they needed to learn how to comfort themselves and they can't really do that while swaddled. The first night was rough but we were committed to sacrificing a couple weeks worth of peaceful sleep for long-term results. The second night...not a single peep and we were THRILLED! Now they're sleeping through the night pretty much every night. We put them down and then wait 3 minutes before going back in. At night they fall asleep right away- there isn't a second visit. But for naps or in the middle of the night we went in at 3 minutes, then after 5 minutes, then every 10 minutes to rub their backs and comfort them.
Sooo CUTE!
