Christmas 2011 Part 2

Yeah for family coming to us for Christmas this year!  My parents, sister, and Sami got to spend almost a week with us in Oklahoma for Christmas.  We had so much fun hosting Christmas and relaxing with family.

We needed a cookie cutter for the top of the cherry pie crust.  I only have one cookie cutter and it was perfect for this pie!  Just adding a little Razorback spirit to Christmas...

Do you have a baby that wont sleep or is fussy?  We think my dad should hire himself out.  It doesn't matter how awake and happy a baby is if he holds him they will fall fast asleep.  I think it is his radiating body heat and extra slow heart beat that does it.  Pretty much every picture we have of my dad with Calvin or Caleb looks like this:
We were given the cutest Nativity Set from Scott's parents we set out so Sami could easily play with.  She however liked playing 'petting zoo' since there were so many animals!

i heard Sami tell Scott to play another song about Jesus.  I guess the Christmas songs weren't enough so I snuck up a recorded a bit.  Sami loves her Uncle Scott because he is up for anything!

Sami is such a helper with the boys.  She loves playing with them, feeding them, or just holding them!  They were pretty entertained by her little voice and faces too.  Caleb was pretty attached to her and when she would stop playing with him he would start crying every time!

We planned a fun girls night with Sami to take her to a special restaurant and then to see Seussical the Musical in Tulsa!  She felt pretty special in her fancy dress...and pink cowboy boots!
We took Sami to the melting pot and she loved dipping her food in the cheese.  She was pretty interested in the thought of cooking your food at the table!  Here are Sami and Amber..
..and me and mom.

And Ms Sassy pants herself at the musical.  It didn't start until 8pm which seems really late for a children's show.  She asked why they made it so late if it is for kids!  The next day she asked when we were going to see that Dr. Seuss show again!
My babies are growing so fast!  Here are Caleb and Calvin ready for the Christmas Eve Service!

One of the most rewarding parts of Christmas for me was cooking the entire meal for the family.  We brined the turkey so it was extra juicy!  Sami loved having two fancy glasses- one for milk and one for tea!

Sami is showing the boys one of their new books and they are totally entranced by her!

Thanks to the family visit I am still trying to get the boys back to napping in their cribs.  They got pretty spoiled with being held and falling asleep in people's arms for a week!  So far it has been a big battle and pretty unsuccessful during the day.  If they are both worked up I give in and put them in their swing and bouncy seat to nap.  And as soon as their bottoms hit the seat of the bouncy or swing they start smiling because they know they got their way!  Oh well, hopefully they'll kick the habit soon!
